My advice on how to: Deal With A Bad Breakup

So i recently went through a breakup that didn't go super smoothly... and i handled it really well!! Here is a few things to turn that post breakup frown upside down! :]

1. Buy a new lipstick. I'm aware this may sound silly but a new pop of color adds a little spunk to the new you:] (and maybe even a little confidence!)

2. Pick up a new hobby. When your sitting alone with only your thoughts you tend to feel as if you want this person back. So, try something new! Work on a new craft, take a new class, whatever you want! Even start a book club! haha:] When you keep busy you may find a new love or talent. Maybe meet some new friends.

3. Plan a girls night in. Who better to spend time with then your girlfriends!? But try something new: a night in, not out. Create a home spa, have a movie marathon, play apples to apples and eat your favorite junk foods! Staying in gives you a more personal, quiet space to have a great time:]

4. Spend time with the most wonderful woman you know. For me, this is my mother. But truely it could be anyone for you. Someone you find inspiring, empowering, beautiful. She may just remind you that every woman is beautiful. (even without a man! )  She may be single or married but either way if she inspires you its great to spend time with her:]

5. Volunteer somewhere. Try your local library or humane society, for instance. Reading to kids or playing with adorable little animals are only a few things you could do to feel great and have fun doing so.

6. Create a bucket list if you haven't yet

7. Make it a goal to do something on your bucket list this month. Whether its running a mile or skydiving, if you have been wanting to do it, save a little cash and treat yourself :]

8. Cleanse your room of ex boyfriend junk. This can be putting all of the junk into a box and putting it in the closet or garage... or it can be burning the photos and old flowers and cards. I suppose it depends on your way of coping:]

9. Bake some fun cupcakes, decorate them, and bring them to your neighbors. I do this with the change of the season but its a great way to have fun and do something sweet. Maybe old fashioned but it is a blast and not only brighten your day but someone else's too!! try it:]

10. Remember that dress you saw in that savy downtown boutique? Buy that little number and wear it out! After all this time, grab a few friends an hit the town! Even if you just go to dinner or a movie, it will feel great :]

11. Tired of your hair? Get a new look! Try a new cut, color, or style. Maybe all three! Its a fun way to boost your confidence.

12. Learn a new language. Well because it would be fun:]

13. Watch a scary movie. Romance movies get a bit old sometimes (especially after you have a bad breakup) and its kinda fun to get a little scared. But not alone, So invite some friends over or go see one in theaters.

14. Get a mani/pedi. Because you have new hair, new lipstick, and a new dress now if you have done all of the above. So why not top it off right? Oh and it feels nice:]

15. Move on. You are a beautiful, strong, and independent woman with the world ahead of you. And he is just a boy.
 If all else fails:
Turn to the lovely world of fashion. Maybe try a little thrifting :]

intro to a new blogger

A lot lately, I've wondered.... could a small town nobody have a blog of her own?  And my conclusion is yes:] I've decided to create my own blog.  This blog will be mainly directed to the laies out there.  I have a passion for fashion, baking, music, movies, and crafts.  People often come to me for advice on these topics and i figured hey! why not share it with anyone else who may want to hear it?  So that is what im going to do. :]  To be quite honest, I am vey new at this and i dont know if anyone will want to listen to my rants about these topics but I cannot wait to give it a shot!! :]  I actually might write my first one here soon so I'll see you then!  :]
